Abstract

Results from calculated studies of the pulverized-coal boiler used as part of a 600-MW power unit that have shown the possibility of its operation in an oxyfuel combustion mode while keeping the design parameters of steam and fulfilling the reliability requirements are presented. The advisability of operating the boiler in such mode is estimated.
