Abstract

Analytic methods for calculating thermal and gasdynamic characteristics of output channels in systems for transportation of steady-state electron beams from vacuum to dense media in the form of consecutive pressure stages are considered. The dependence of the maximal enthalpy of the gas flow in a channel on the output beam power is analyzed. The effect of a decrease in the flow rate of the gas supplied to high-vacuum stages due to its heating during the interaction with electrons is investigated.
