Abstract

Isotherms of the sorption of cerium in the form of a sulfate complex onto D-403 anionite at a temperature of 298 K and pH values from 2 to 4 in the presence of magnesium sulfate of different concentrations are obtained. The thermodynamic description of the sorption isotherm of cerium sulfate complexes is verified by linearization of the mass action law, modified for ion exchange reactions. The values of the apparent ion exchange constant and differential Gibbs energy for Ce(SO4) 2 ions are calculated.
