Abstract
The thermodynamic activities of sodium iodide and praseodymium triiodide in NaI-PrI3 binary system melts at 900 K were determined by high-temperature mass spectrometry. The activities were used to calculate the excess integral Gibbs energy of melt formation. A negative deviation of the system from the behavior of an ideal melt was observed.
