Abstract
Thermophysical and kinetic properties of nickel-chromium alloys in a temperature range of 300–1700 K have been studied for ten different compositions. The experimental temperature and concentrational dependences of the electrical resistivity and thermal diffusivity of these alloys and the calculated temperature dependences of their thermal conductivity λ and additional electrical resistivity (computed on the basis of these data and available literature data on the heat capacity and thermal expansion) are discussed. These studies showed that the mechanisms of charge and heat transport in the Ni-Cr alloys at high temperatures have the same nature and that the scattering of conduction electrons occurs similar to that observed in other binary alloys based on the iron-subgroup metals (Ni-Co, Fe-Cr, Fe-Ni).
