Abstract

In this work, two Co(II)-based coordination polymers with the chemical formulae [CoCl(cptpy)·2H2O]n (1) and [Co2Cl2(cptpy)2(ma)H2O]n (2, Hcptpy = 4′-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine, ma = melamine) are hydrothermally synthesized without or with employment of the template melamine. The as-prepared two complexes are studied via single crystal X-ray diffraction along with the elemental analysis. Furthermore, the protective ability of the compounds on the osteoblast differentiation is evaluated and the related detailed mechanism is explored. Firstly, the Western blot is used to detect the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway after treatment with the compounds. Next, the RT-PCR assay is used to measure the relative expression of indicators of vegf and vwf angiogenesis.
