Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of a New Wells-Dawson [β-P2CoW17O62]10− Polyoxoanion

Abstract

New polyoxometalate (POM) H4Li6[β-P2CoW17O62x:H2O (1) is synthesized for the first time. The structure of 1 consists of Wells-Dawson type [β-P2CoW17O62]6− POM connected through [Li6(H2O)6]6+ clusters giving rise to a linear chain. The chemical composition of the newly synthesized polyanion is confirmed via1H, 13C, and 31P NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, and SEM-EDX as well as magnetic measurements.
