Abstract
A triggering scheme of the ТДИ high-voltage high-current switch of the pulse voltage generator for powering the vacuum diode of the Astra frequency electron accelerator is described. Its special feature is the automatic triggering mode of the switch, which is synchronized to the charging process of the high-voltage capacitive storage. The energy required for producing control pulses (1 J) is extracted in the process of charging the high-voltage capacitive storage using a pulse current transformer. The processes are synchronized by a peak transformer connected to the storage charging circuit. The components of the circuit are intended for the continuous operation with a repetition rate of up to 100 s−1.
