Abstract
A laser lifetime spectrometer (fluorometer) for recording the luminescence kinetics in the range 950–1400 nm with a time resolution of 1 ns is described. The performance capabilities of the facility are demonstrated by an example of studying the near-IR luminescence of molecular singlet oxygen 1O2. The fluorometer allows measurements of quenched luminescence of 1O2 with a quantum yield of up to 6 × 10−9.
