Studying the statistical distribution of single-photon pulses from avalanche photodetectors

Abstract

The statistical distributions of pulses from silicon avalanche photodetectors with p + n-v-n + and n + p-π-p + structures have been investigated in the photon-counting mode. Comparative analysis of the statistical distributions for these avalanche photodetectors is presented.
