Abstract
The abandonment of a constant radio-frequency voltage across acceleration periods of the structure with a spatially periodic radio-frequency quadru pole focusing substantially expands the applicability range but complicates the tuning process of dynamic parameters. The possibility and necessity of applying the calculation is shown, when the accelerating structure is tuned. A procedure for calculating electrodynamic parameters of the acceleration period is proposed. The theoretical and experimental results are compared.
