Abstract
Comparative characteristics of the ZnS(Ag)-luminophor-based PC-450 and ΦC-4 phosphors exposed to irradiation with α particles and electron excitation are considered. Under irradiation with α particles, the time characteristics of luminescence pulses for these phosphors proved to be almost the same and the actual light yield for PC-450 was 1.20 ± 0.12 relative to ΦC-4. Under electron excitation, the actual light yield for PC-450 is much lower and substantially depends on the pulse integration time. The phosphorescence level for PC-450 was 0.82–0.84 relative to the ΦC-4 phosphorescence level.
