Abstract
PB50/50 and PB50/1000 explosive opening switches developed at the Efremov Research Institute of Electrophysical Equipment have been chosen as current switches in the MOL (magnetic sharpening liner) experimental stand. The results of studies and updating of these opening switches performed at the Russian State Research Center, Troitsk Institute of Innovation and Fusion Research during starts of the stand’s first amplifying stage and on a separate test bench with a charging current of up to 50 kA are presented.
