Abstract
A new method for calculating the magnetization of magnetic fluids and a setup for measuring the transverse magnetic susceptibility as a function of an external bias field are described. The results obtained via the new method and a known sweep method are compared. The presented results of a magnetogranulometric analysis of five samples of a magnetic fluid with different concentrations of the magnetic phase confirm the high accuracy of the new technique.
