Abstract

A methanol actinometer is used for measuring the intensity of vacuum UV radiation of a Xe *2 excilamp. The absorbed radiation dose is determined by measuring the concentration of formaldehyde, which is the decay product of methanol illuminated by UV radiation, with the use of amperometric titration.
