Synthesis of the intermetallic compound AuAl2 from nanopowders

Abstract

This paper reports the preparation and compaction of gold and aluminum nanopowders with the aim of obtaining the intermetallic compound AuAl2 in bulk form. We describe the microstructure of the starting powders and synthesized materials and compare the results to those for foreign analogs.
