Abstract
The distribution of growth defects of various types arising in zinc selenide crystals grown from the melt under highly nonequilibrium conditions determines different, but interrelated metastable states of samples cut from different parts of the same ingot. The characteristic features of the dielectric response of these states, as well as of the states induced by an external action, are established.
