Nanostructure of the rapidly quenched magnetic alloy NdFeB

Abstract

High-resolution field emission spectroscopy has been used to study the nanostructure of the NdFeB alloy. This revealed a fine banded structure of the grain-boundary phase which is responsible for the high coercivity of the alloy.
