Abstract

It is shown that for a medium with the dielectric function given by the expression ε=ε 1+(ε 2ε 1)tanh(E 2/E 2s ), where ε 1 and ε 2 are constants and E s is the saturation field, there is a threshold value of the power density at which a nonlinear surface wave can be excited.
