Abstract

A full set of fundamental optical functions of 3C-SiC is calculated from reflectance spectra in the range of 2–16 eV. The integral curve of the dielectric constant is for the first time resolved into 11 components. Peak energy, half-width, and oscillator strength are determined for each component. The obtained results are analyzed in terms of the known theoretical calculations of the band structure and spectra of optical functions.
