Abstract
As part of a research project on teaching probability at the primary level, our goal was to document the articulation between Frequentist and Theoretical perspectives of probability through the use of a learning resource. Here we present the case of a grade six teacher (students aged 11–12 years) who initially takes an approach corresponding to the Theoretical perspective and then makes a shift toward the Frequentist perspective. The study of the progressive articulation between the two perspectives allows us to reflect on how variability and the law of large numbers are taken into consideration when teaching probability at the primary level.
