Abstract

BIOLOGISTS concerned with an examination of the continental drift hypothesis usually begin by assuming-biological continuity for their test organisms. This being granted, taxonomic assessments and the resultant biogeographic patterns, especially those of the faunas of southern continents, should provide useful tests for the validity of the hypothesis from a biological point of view—as long as suitable test organisms are used.
