Abstract

THE total venous outflow from the testis and epididymis of conscious rams has been measured using the Fick principle with tritiated water as the dilution substance1. Because of their different functions the two organs might have quite different blood flows, and it cannot be assumed that each contributed blood to the total venous outflow in proportion to its weight. The technique of Sapirstein2 has been used to determine the partition of blood between the testis and epididymis.
