Abstract
It is demonstrated that mechanoelectric transformations in composite materials are a superposition of two competing processes, namely, the decrease of the acoustic excitation energy due to scattering on inclusions and the increase of the energy of electromagnetic response due to the increasing effective area of double electric layers excited by an acoustic wave. The results obtained can be used to determine the structural characteristics of composite materials.
