Properties of a Deuteron and e 2 H Scattering for the Nijmegen Potentials

Abstract

In the present paper, the tensor polarization in elastic e 2 H scattering is considered for four Nijmegen nucleon-nucleon potentials. The numerical wave function of a deuteron is approximated by a series of the Gaussian curves, which allows it to be used in any calculations. The correctness of a description of the deuteron characteristics by the approximate wave function is demonstrated on examples of their comparison with exact calculations of the quadrupole moment, the probability of the D-state, and the deuteron radius.
