Abstract

Nitrogen containing Schiff base ligand, [1,2-bis(salicylideneimino)-phenylene] vanadium oxo, has been covalently bonded on chemically modified silica gel support. With this catalyst the oxidation of n-octane with molecular oxygen occurs with chain breaking with very little isomerization.
