Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

The most general dynamic approach is proposed to measuring a physical quantity as a finite signal, based on analyzing the dynamics of the states of the sensitive element of the measuring instrument. It is shown that such an approach incorporates as a particular case the traditional static approach to measurement which consists in obtaining point estimates of the measured quantity utilizing scaling of the steady-state (static) conditions of the sensitive element of the measuring instrument.
