Abstract
The crystal structure of 2,2'-bis[2,6-dimethyl-3,5-di(methoxycarbonyl)pyridinyl-4]azoxybenzene has been determined; the compound is formed as the major product of photodegradation of niphedipine subjected to prolonged exposure of its ethanolic solution to daylight and artificial illumination. It is established that in crystal, the above azoxy derivative has a trans configuration.
