Measurement and Control Systems for Investigations with Mixtures of Hydrogen Isotopes

Abstract

Measurement and control systems of two instrumentation complexes for experimental studies using hydrogen isotopes are described. The first of these, the complex that prepares the gas mixture of the Triton facility, is designed for studying the muonic catalysis of nuclear fusion reactions in triple mixtures of H/D/T hydrogen isotopes over wide ranges of temperature and pressure. The second, the Prometheus complex, is designed for studying the phenomena of tritium accumulation and transmission by metals and other structural materials.
