Optical Method of Determining the Structural Parameters of a Polyhedral Foam

Abstract

Expressions are derived for determining the expansion ratio and cell size of a foam according to light transmission measurements for foam layers of various thicknesses. The ways of determining other structural parameters of foam are proposed within the polyhedral model of the foam structure.
