Abstract
A laboratory apparatus for the production of nanometer particles (5–1000 nm) of metals, metal oxides, and their compounds using the Gen–Miller condensation-in-flow technique [1] is developed. The apparatus is equipped with auxiliaries for chemical treatment of particles' surfaces with gaseous reactants directly in the inert-gas flow carrying the particles and for sampling the particles immediately out of the flow. The apparatus potentialities are discussed. Sample data on the produced Al, Ag, and Ni nanoparticles are presented.
