Abstract

A method of intracavity laser refractometry in reflection allows for the refractive index n of highly absorbing fluids, which is characteristic of biological objects, to be measured with a sensitivity of up to δn ≤ 10–8 and a measurement time of several microseconds. The method can be used to determine the intensity of a disease and estimate the efficacy of the treatment of different diseases according to the refractive index of blood.
