Abstract

It is shown that cold cathodes that demonstrate the hollow-cathode effect during the glow of electric discharge can be used to obtain a continuous in time charged-particle beam. A cold-cathode duoplasmatron generating a continuous beam of hydrogen ions with a current of 12 mA and energy of 30 keV is described.
