Abstract

Based on the physical control theory, comparison was carried out of two approaches to optimizing the dynamic controlled plant with the aim of achieving the desired performance of the closed loop formulated in engineering terms. The first approach is represented by the well-known method of analytical design of optimal controllers. The second approach makes use of an assembly of reference models pertaining to the given domain and of the conditional performance functional. It was shown to be more universal and efficient. Numerical examples were presented.
