Abstract

An alternating current is passed through an electrical capacitor filled with the sample studied. The signal, which is proportional to the current, is amplified, rectified, integrated, and recorded by a computer using a simple analog-to-digital converter consisting of a time-charging RC circuit and a comparator connected to the COM port. The measurement error does not exceed 1%. The permittivity is calculated by the electrical conductivity data with a 10% error.
