Abstract
An installation for studying the processes of electron-beam purification of industrial gases from toxic gaseous impurities is described. Its basic difference from analogs is the use of continuous intense electron beams. The main parameters of the installation are as follows: the concentrations of SO2 and NO x impurities are up to 0.2 and 0.05%, respectively; the initial temperature of the purified gas is 20–150°C; the gas capacity is up to 50 l/s; the electron beam energy is 80–100 keV; the maximum current beam is 20 mA; and the irradiation dose is up to 100 kGy.
