Abstract

A contactless broadband optical receiver of ultrasound based on a modified Michelson interferometer is described. The receiver has two measuring channels and the following main specifications: sensitivity, 5 × 105 V/m; frequency reproduction range, 0.1–50 MHz; sensitivity threshold, 2 × 10–14 m/Hz1/2; and maximum detectable oscillation amplitude, 30 nm (the relative error of the amplitude measurement does not exceed 5%).
