Abstract
The cycling of a sulfur electrode is studied in 1 M LiCF3SO3 solutions in sulfolane mixtures with ethers 1,2-dimethoxyethane, dioxolane, and tetrahydrofuran. The results suggest that the electrochemical behavior of sulfur is defined by the forms of existence of lithium polysulfides in the electrolyte.
