Role of Hydrated Electrons in Self-Dissolution of Alkali Metals in Alkaline Media

Abstract

It is shown that processes of electro- and thermogeneration of solvated electrons are incapable of providing experimentally-observed high (hundreds of A/cm2) rates of alkali metal self-dissolution in aqueous solutions.
