Abstract

The frequency spectrum of free-electron laser pumped by electromagnetic wave with magnetized and unmagnetized background plasma is analyzed by the theory of three-wave interaction and PIC simulation, respectively. The frequencies of PIC simulation are in agreement with the results of the three-wave interaction theory. The results show that the frequency spectrum is very plentiful.
