Mathematical Methods of Geoinformatics. I. A New Approach to Clusterization

  • Published:
Cybernetics and Systems Analysis Aims and scope

Abstract

The concept of a cluster is mathematically defined. The definition is based on the construction of a light "source" and on the fuzzy structure of the emergent radiation of each point of a finite metric space. A clusterization algorithm called RODIN is described. Local and global versions of the algorithm are described.
