Synthesis of Aryl-Substituted Propanols, Pentanediols, and Tetrahydropyran

Abstract

Oxidation of N- and C-alkenylanilines with ozone under conditions of alcohol formation was studied. Depending on the structure of the alkenyl moiety, the reaction yields aryl-substituted propanols, pen- tanediols, or tetrahydropyran.
