Anomalous Properties of Polycrystalline BeO

Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

Anomalous physicochemical properties of polycrystalline BeO (powder and ceramic) were studied. The results demonstrate that foreign magnetic ions, phase transitions, and strong electric fields have a significant effect on the 9Be spin–lattice relaxation time, lattice parameters of BeO, and carbon outdiffusion to the surface after Ar+ion bombardment.
