Abstract
Plasma expansion in a long channel of the anode electrode of a glow discharge excited in the forevacuum pressure range is studied. A physical model of plasma penetration based on the drift-diffusive motion of charged particles is proposed. The results of numerical simulation are compared with the experiment.
