Abstract
The title compound crystallizes in space group P21/n, with a = 14.600(2), b = 7.091(2), c = 18.211(5) Å, and β = 103.67(2)°. Owing to the centric space group, both C(1) and C(3) chiral centers are either R or S. The acetate group is equatorial, the H(1) and the methyl group at C(3) are axial and reciprocally trans.
