Risk and Safety in the Access Network

Abstract

This paper discusses an initiative to reduce risk in the access network by better management of the pole stock. The initiative concerns the pole renewal programme and proposes a risk assessment-based prioritisation methodology which enables remedial activity to be targeted on the basis of highest risk.
