Recent Advances in Understanding Nuclear Reactions

Abstract

A brief overview of nuclear reactions is given. Recent advances in our understanding of sub-barrier fusion with stable and radioactive nuclei, the synthesis of new heavy nuclei, the synthesis of new n-rich nuclei, the giant dipole resonance and multifragmentation are discussed.
