Determination of the Composition and Thickness of Co–Ni/Cr System Films by X-Ray Fluorescence

  • Published:
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy Aims and scope

Abstract

A procedure of determining the composition and thickness of Co–Ni/Cr two-layer films on Polycor by means of x-ray fluorescence is developed. The correction factors that take into account the effects of the mutual influence of the elements in the given system are calculated. The density of the materials entering into the composition of the films is determined experimentally. The metrological characteristics of the procedure are established.
