Abstract

Numenes grisa Chao, 1983, previously recorded only from China, Laos and Thailand, is recorded from India for the first time. Comments on the other two species, N. flagrans Tams, and N. siletti Walker, that are known from India are provided with live habitus images. N. flagrans Tams, 1928 has been rediscovered from India after 95 years since its original description. A provisional checklist of Numenes species that are described so far is also provided in this paper.
