More flexitime for shiftwork!

Zusammenfassung

Gegenwärtig wird Gleitzeit primär im Bürobereich genutzt. Dieser Artikel argumentiert mittels Fallbeispielen und Indikatoren, dass in der Praxis – entgegen einem stereotypen Bild von Schichtarbeit – häufig substanzielle Spielräume der Zeiteinteilung existieren, deren Nutzung bessere Arbeitszeitmodelle erlaubt.

Praktische Relevanz Ansatzpunkte für bessere Schichtarbeitszeitmodelle werden aufgezeigt, indem vorhandene Spielräume der Arbeitsgestaltung identifiziert und für Gleitzeit genutzt werden.

Abstract

Flexitime is primarily used in offices. Based on practical examples and indicators this paper argues that there actually is room and use for flexitime in shiftwork. This strongly contrasts stereotypical pictures of shiftwork.

Practical Relevance Starting points for the improvement of shiftwork through flexitime are discussed. Potentials exist in identifying and using opportunities in workdesign.
